Hill James Partnership
Ron Hill and Ian James are practising clerks who specialise in college governance practices including training and support for chairs, governors, principals and senior staff, and clerks.
Hill James Partnership is currently funded by the Centre for Excellence in Leadership to undertake research into the college governance implications of the Learning and Skills Council's major policy document Framework for Excellence (July, 2006).
Hill James Partnership is working with college governing bodies to improve corporate decision-making by focusing on a strategic governance agenda. This work also includes revising the nature of governance paperwork by reducing the quantity but improving the quality of the material provided to governors.
Ron and Ian have extensive experience of working with colleges, ranging from acting as an interim clerk to the provision of workshop events and seminars for governor development events.
